Example Using the Kadence Advanced Gallery Block
Another good choice, especially as I am already using the Kadence Blocks plugin on this website. This has a built in lightbox option.
Comparison with the Core Gallery Block
The version below uses the core WordPress Gallery block, along with the Meow lightbox plugin, I’d used before. The core block does not have the Masonry, Justified and Tiles options that were available with Meow Gallery. Since my images are not all the same shape, I have chosen to crop them (the only display option that this block does provide), otherwise they would look very untidy. Image captions are shown by default.
If I had not chosen the “crop images” option, my gallery would have been full of holes.
It would have been fine if all my images had been the same shape though.
